The new Navigon 5100 Max GPS navigation system has been approved by the FCC and will soon be released to the market apparently this fall. This nevigation gadget comes jam packed with Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free communications, a 4.3 inch display, text-to-speech functionality for easy navigation, lifetime traffic and Zagat ratings. We didn’t like the sluggish iPod navigation or the omission of Bluetooth technology. However, the solid performance and fun little touches, like the custom greeting messages, ultimately made us fall in love with this receiver.

The Navigon 2100 is a new series from Navigon GPS Navigation that went on sale for the low price of $77 dollars. I think this price is great and can’t last for long. The Navigon 2100 featured a brilliant 3.5” touchscreen display, US maps pre-loaded, turn by turn directions with spoken street names, and also has a 3D feature which shows complicated turns as you approach them. I have seen other GPS units with all of these features, but never at a price this low. You can even add on a subscription traffic update feature. Sound great, huh?

Called Team Garmin Edge 705, the device comes bundled with a heart-rate monitor, speed/cadence sensor and detailed street maps with turn-by-turn directions and lots of POIs.
